A new song

Sing to God
He is listening to you
He hears your voice
sweet and kind
humble, gentle, and patient
and above all new.

Soul placed the melody –
the hymn of praise
to your creator –
in every fiber of your immortal being
for “the mortality of man is a myth” ¹
the old song is left in the dust
in which you do not dwell
oh child of the infinite Holy One –
spiritual!
immortal!
unfallen!

Your new song is joy.
Joy in following the light of Christ
walking no more in darkness.
You have the light of life.

Immortal man,
you have Science-revealed
glorious possibilities.
Arise, shine –
“sing unto the Lord a new song.” ²
